Hearing Solutions of Alabama is co-owned and operated by Dr. Allison Kelly, a licensed and certified audiologist. Dr. Kelly graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Communication Disorders from Auburn University and received her Doctorate in Audiology from Auburn University.
Dr. Kelly served as a Clinical Audiologist at a local Ear, Nose and Throat practice upon graduation. In this practice, she provided pediatric and adult diagnostic hearing services, as well as hearing aid fittings and vestibular disorder testing. Dr. Kelly was afforded a position at Children's of Alabama HEAR Center where she worked as a Pediatric Audiologist. She gained an extensive pediatric experience at Children's and furthered her passion for working with children. Having a child with hearing loss herself, Dr. Kelly is passionate about helping people of any age hear their best and succeed with their hearing devices.
Dr. Kelly is a native of Mobile, Alabama. She resides with her husband and two sons in Pike Road, Alabama. When not at the office, she is an active member of Church of the Highlands and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Ingram cares deeply about every patient she sees. Many people in her own life have been affected by hearing loss, and she's witnessed how hearing aids have managed to help them - especially now that the frustrating old analog hearing aids have been replaced by more effective digital hearing aids. Being a part of the process of helping patients hear again is inspiring and rewarding.
Dr. Ingram is nationally certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from Auburn University in 2008 and received her Doctor of Audiology from the University of South Alabama in 2013. She completed her audiology fellowship at The H.E.A.R. Center at Children's of Alabama, where she was trained in diagnostic and rehabilitative hearing services. She has also served as Director of Pediatric Audiology at Columbia Hearing Center and as a pediatric audiologist at CENTA Medical Group. Joining Hearing Solutions of Alabama lets her extend the scope of her practice to the adult population and improve the quality of life for more patients, but she's also glad to address the need for a pediatric audiologist here.
Dr. Ingram is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. When not helping patients, she enjoys visiting her family in Birmingham, relaxing at the beach and taking walks with her chocolate lab, Sadie.
There are many different kinds of people who are permitted to fit patients with hearing aids, but not all of them offer the same level of care. Audiologists must complete doctoral-level education as well as supervised hands-on training fellowships before they can receive their license and begin seeing patients.
This means that audiologists have a deep understanding of the hearing system from a medical perspective. If your hearing loss has a medical cause, we have the expertise to identify what's wrong and determine what can be done to help it, and in some cases we can provide treatment.
